Kuldeep Yadav takes 6 Wickets Against England | Ind vs Eng | Cricket News

The first ODI match played between IND vs ENG at Trent Bridge, Nottingham, 2018.  Its a ‘Great day for you if you’re an Indian cricket fan‘. Because India beats England by8 wickets in the high voltage first ODI match. Kuldeep Yadav was awarded the Man of the Match Award for his brilliant bowling performance taking 6 wickets in his 10 over spell. Rohit Sharma the Indian batsman played an aggressive inning of 137 runs not out in just 115 balls to take down the number one rank ODI team currently.

On winning the toss India opted to bowl first. England inning started on a good partnership of 73 runs between Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow. Both opening batsmen scored 38 runs off 35 balls.  Whereas Jow Root and Captain Eoin Morgan got out quickly. Furthermore, Jos Butler made 53 runs in 51 balls and Ben Stokes added 50 runs playing 103 balls. Also, Moen Ali and Adil Rashid added 24 runs and 22 runs to the scoreboard taking England’s total to 268 runs all out in 49.5 overs.

Indian bowler Kuldeep Yadav bowled exceptionally. In his 10 overs, he took 6 wickets giving just 25 runs. Umesh Yadav took 2 wickets for 70 runs. Whereas Yuzvendra Chahal took 1 wicket for 51 runs in his 10 overs. However, Hardik Pandya and Siddharth Kaul went wicketless. In the end, Kuldeep Yadav bowled brilliantly who applied brakes on aggressive English batting lineup.

Ind beats Eng by 8 wickets | Kuldeep Yadav awarded Man of the Match | 1st ODI

Indian batsmen needed 269 runs to win from 50 overs. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli build a solid first wicket partnership of 167 runs in just 25 overs. Rohit Sharma is in such a good form that he made 137 runs not out in 115 balls hitting 15 fours and 4 sixes. Whereas Virat Kohli made the run chase look easy by scoring 75 runs in 82 balls hitting 7 fours. India score read 226 for 2 in just 33 overs when Kohli got out. Also, Shikhar Dhawan contributed 40 runs off 27 balls. From thereon, the match looked one-sided as India chased the target comfortably. India made 269 runs for 2 wickets and reached the target in just 40.1 overs.

England bowlers were hit all over the ground by the Indian batsmen. Only David Willey and Liam Plunkett bowled economically. Plunkett bowled 6 overs giving away 31 runs without a wicket. Whereas David Willey went for 25 runs in 5 overs. However, Adil Rashid and Moen Ali got one wicket each despite going expensive with the runs. In the end, it was India’s day especially Kuldeep Yadav and Rohit Sharma.
