England Beats Australia 4-0 | High Target Chase | Jason Roy

The 4th match of the series played between England vs Australia at Riverside Ground, Chester-le-Street. England Beats Australia in high target chase match. After winning the toss Australia opted to bat first. After scoring more than 300 runs, Australia looked relaxed. However, England batting proved why they are the number one rank ODI team currently.

Batting first Australia had a remarkable opening start. The opening pair Aaron Finch and Travis Head made a partnership of 101 runs in 19.1 overs. Aaron Finch played a promising inning of 100 runs in 106 balls. Whereas, Travis Head made 63 runs off 64 balls. However, the great Shaun Marsh batting at first down position played brilliantly scoring 101 runs off 92 balls hitting 5 fours and 4 sixes. No other batsman contributed much to the scorecard thereafter. Australia managed to score 310 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in 50 overs.

England bowler David Willey bowled economically. He bowled 7 overs giving away 43 runs and taking 4 wickets. Furthermore, Adil Rashid also took 2 wickets in his 10 overs giving away 73 runs. Mark Wood was the most economical bowler in the England team. He bowled 9 overs, a maiden and took 2 wickets giving just 49 runs.

England needed 311 runs to win the game and take the lead up to 4-0. The openers started really well growing a partnership of 174 runs in just 23.4 overs. Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow have consistently provided the good start to the team. Furthermore,  Jason Roy scored 101 runs off 83 balls hitting 12 fours and 2 sixes. Whereas Jonny Bairstow made 79 runs off 66 balls. Therefore half work was already done by the openers. The next explosive batsman Jos Buttler did the rest of the work. He scored quick 54 runs in just 29 balls. He hit as many as 9 boundaries and 1 six.

England Beats Australia in just under 45 overs and winning the match by 6 wickets. This is their 8th consecutive win against Australia this year.

Australian bowler Ashton Agar was the best among the side. Whereas the other bowler got hit for runs without a wicket, he got 2 wickets in his 8 overs giving just 48 runs. Furthermore, Nathan Lyon proved to be the most economical bowler. He bowled 7 overs giving away 38 runs only and taking 1 important wicket of Jason Roy.
